Chief Christensen is the first full-time Chief for St. Croix EMS. Before him, there was a volunteer Chief who took care of the operations. With the decision to have St. Croix EMS become a Advanced Life Support service, Chief Christensen was hired to lead the team to that goal. Eric was a full-time paramedic working with St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette, Indiana, prior to become the St. Croix EMS Chief. He is a Nationally Registered Paramedic and has numerous Advanced and Basic Life Support certifications.

In addition, Eric was a Deputy Coroner with Tippecanoe County, Indiana. He is a certified Medical - Legal Death Investigator with the State of Indiana. He has been in this position since June of 1997.
